Plex.Earth tools work in conjunction with Google Earth to import imagery, surface information or specific data points. Most of the time Plex.Earth will automatically control the Google Earth window to zoom into the areas it uses for its functions. However sometimes you might wish to do it manually. Use:
|
Zoom Area | when you want Google Earth to zone into an area you specify in AutoCAD. |
![]() |
Locate Point | when you want Google Earth to center around a specific point you select in AutoCAD. |
![]() |
Synchronize Autocad | to have AutoCAD zone into the region currently displayed in Google Earth. |
![]() |
Synchronize Google Earth | to have Google Earth zone into the region currently displayed in your AutoCAD drawing. |
Use this command when you would like to specify an area of your AutoCAD drawing on which Google Earth will zone in. Google Earth will automatically move to the specified area and adjust its zoom level for best fit.

Use the Locate Point command when you want Google Earth to center into a point specified in AutoCAD. Google Earth will maintain the currently used zoom level.

Note that the camera will zoom out a bit before it moves, but will zoon in back to the original Eye alt level
to complete the operation

Use this command whenever you want your AutoCAD drawing to focus into the area currently displayed in your Google Earth window.
